PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Enrique has been a physical therapist for 10 years. At the beginning of his professional career, he worked for Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. During this time he worked with patients suffering from a multitude of disorders:
Five years ago Enrique was made Director of a sports Physical Therapy clinic. Here he continued to advance his manual skills by taking various courses such as McKenzie, Maitland and functional orthopedics. These enabled him to have a greater number of treatment approaches when creating a personalized plan of care for his patients.
Today, as co-owner at Mile Square Physical Therapy, Enrique has a very holistic hands on approach with his patients. He recently received his Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and frequently combines his manual physical therapy skills and yoga postures to help realign the whole body./>

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
During her ten years of professional experience, Shelley has worked with a variety of different injuries. She gained expertise in treating all neck, back, and joint conditions. Postoperatively she has excellent experience with a multitude of procedures ranging from ACL repairs of the knee and rotator cuff repairs of the shoulder, to spinal fusions. Additionally, she does early intervention and orthopedic interventions with the pediatric populaton.
Prior to opening Mile Square Physical Therapy with Enrique, she owned ABC Per Diem Physical Therapy. She and her staff worked at dozens of clinics throughout Northern Jersey, where she was able to treat athletes at the high school, college, and even semi-professional and professional levels. She recently was certified in the Active Release Technique (ART) for the upper extremity.
Continuing Education Courses:
Education: Amy graduated summa cum laude from The University of Rhode Island in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to pursue her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, graduating magna cum laude in 2000.
Proffessional Experience: Amy began her career in the outpatient rehabilitation department at Kessler Rehabilitation Institute in East Orange, NJ. While there, she gained valuable experience working with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, post-surgical patients, and a variety of orthopaedic/sports and neurological conditions, including stroke and vestibular rehabilitation.
In March 2003, Amy received her certification in vestibular rehabilitation at Emory University and continued to advance her career as a senior therapist in the outpatient physical therapy department at Hackensack University Medical Center. During her time at Hackensack, she helped to develop and expand their vestibular program and became their clinical specialist.
Amy was an avid athlete growing up, excelling and holding many local, state and national records in cross-country, track and basketball. Amy’s love of sports and the outdoors continues to influence her practice and motivate her to further her career in outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine. As a result, Amy has over 8 years experience in the outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine field.
Amy has taken extensive continuing education courses over the years, including several advanced orthopaedic and sports medicine courses, the Mulligan and Maitland series, and the McKenzie approach to treatment of neck and back injuries. Her interests continue to include running, yoga, pilates, and golf. Amy joined Mile Square Physical Therapy in January 2008 and plans to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in the near future.
EDUCATION:
Seth graduated from Boston University in 2005 with a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
He received his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2002 and worked as a personal trainer at Boston Sports Clubs, until he received his PT degree.
Professional Experience:
Seth strives to maximize movement efficiency in his patients and clients with manual therapy and functional based exercises. he has over 5 years of experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting and specializes in rehabilitation of post operative and repetitive strain injuries.
Continuing Education:
Seth has pursued extensive continuing education focusing on golf-specific rehabilitation and performance. He completed Golo Golf Performance: The System in Orlando, Fl, with William Breland, the only touring golf pro who is also a certified sports physical therapist. Seth is certified through the Titleist Performance Institute, the industry leaders in providing golf specific performance enhancement to leading tour professionals.
Seth utilizes exercise to promote a healthy body and mind i both his clients and himself. He's practiced yoga, karate, and zen meditation. He enjoys playing soccer, golf, and flag football in his recreational time.

Essex County College Physical Therapist's Assistant Program
Physical Therapist Assistant: PTAs are trained to conduct therapeutic exercises, provide therapeutic massage, observe patients and evaluate data on a patient's progress.
Professional Experience: Malia has been with Mile Square Physical Therapy for four of its five years. She started here as an aide while obtaining her PTA license, and once licensed MSPT knew we had to make room for her. She is outgoing and energetic, and always exploring new ways to treat patients and improve their care. Her focus on learning has led her to participate in the following continuing education courses in just the past two years:
Each year, her intentions are to maintain and enhance her knowledge in these areas. She is focused on completing the Maitland courses and eager to develop her skills to accommodate each patient individually with SLAP and ACL repairs. Her focus in the clinic has been on both outpatient orthopedic populations, as well as with pediatric populations. She enjoys working with patients post-operatively and helping them achieve their maximum potential. She also realizes the need for pediatric physical therapy in Hoboken with the ever growing baby boom of the past decade. From early intervention, helping your child achieve their age appropriate milestones, to torticollus, Malia demonstrates her knowledge and patience. Additionally, she is not afraid to challenge our senior population by encouraging them to work hard, and improve in areas such as balance, gait, strength, and pain relief. In her spare time, Malia enjoys playing tennis, basketball and has started to challenge herself in competing in 5k’s this coming fall, all of which help her understand the importance of being able to live an active lifestyle.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Cesar has been practicing for 5 years in a variety of settings ranging from acute care hospital, rehabilitation centers and sports medicine orthopaedic clinics. He worked for the Chicago White Sox baseball organization where he implemented and supervised strength training routines for players with emphasis on core strengthening, speed and agility, as well as rehabilitation of injured and post-surgical athletes. He has applied this knowledge to be able to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders in all patient populations and their specific level in their rehab, ranging from the acute injury (i.e 1-2 days after) to the healthy individual trying to improve their athletic performance.
Cesar utilizes a multi-disciplinary one-on-one approach to his treatments combining multiple manual techniques along with individualized therapeutic exercises to achieve patient and therapist goals. He is also fluent is Spanish which allows him to communicate more effectively with patients from many ethnic backgrounds. This constant communication with his patients and doctors is a crucial component in the rehabilitative process, which allows for proficient results.
Marc joined the Mile Square Physical Therapy team in June 2009, and helped open their second office in Clifton NJ. Throughout his career, Marc has developed a sincere appreciation for what it takes to recover from an injury or surgery and return to an active and healthy lifestyle. Each patient interaction is seen as an ability to build a mutual trusting relationship with a focus on educating them in the diagnosis, healing process and rehabilitation of their specific injury. He especially enjoys the extensive one on one time spent during an initial evaluation getting to know each patient and what their goals and expectations are for physical therapy.
Marc completed his undergraduate education at Kean University. He was a member of the Deans list for each semester and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Upon completion of a pre-professional undergraduate degree, he entered UMDNJ (University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ) where he obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Marc was the sole recipient of the Clinical Excellence award based on his clinical work in 4 different internships throughout varied practice settings.
In his spare time, Marc enjoys various types of exercise including running, rock climbing, cycling, soccer and ice hockey. His participation in years of organized sports, and the injuries sustained, has assisted him in developing several preventative programs for ACL injury reduction, marathon completion/training and rehab programs for injuries sustained during such sports.
Kim joined the Mile Square Physical Therapy team in June 2011 after working in both pediatric and outpatient orthopedic settings after graduating with her doctorate in 2009. Kim has worked with athletes, ranging from young elementary school age kids to collegiate and professional team athletes. Kim also has experience working with school-based, home and clinic based pediatrics, including disorders such as developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, spina bifida and autism. Kim currently performs evaluations to determine need for school-based physical therapy services around northern NJ.
In her free time, Kim enjoys being active, kickboxing, hiking and yoga/pilates. Kim hopes to continue to further her education withvarious orthopedic and pediatric populations through continuing education courses in the future.
